Water Abandoned Line W_TAS_ABANDONEDLINE Polyline Abandoned lines are water pipelines of any type which are no longer in service due to decommissioning or otherwise but remain installed. This does not include pipework that is temporarily inactive or has not yet been commissioned.
Water Abandoned Point W_TAS_ABANDONEDPOINT Point Abandoned points are water assets of any type that would be represented as a point and which are no longer in service due to decommissioning or otherwise. This does not include assets that are temporarily inactive or have not yet been commissioned.
Water Air Valve W_TAS_AIR_VALVE Point Air valves (AV) relieve the pipe system of trapped air or allow air into the pipe during draining maintenance.
Water Asset Boundary W_TAS_ASSETBOUNDARY Polygon Site boundaries of structures include the footprints for network structure that are significantly large or pit that are significantly large.
Water Break Pressure Tank W_TAS_BREAKPRESSURETANK Point Break pressure tanks are structures that limit the amount of pressure that can be transferred to downstream sections of the pipe. The centre of these break pressure tanks is recorded as a point within this feature class.
Water Bulk Transfer Main W_TAS_BULKTRANSFERMAIN Polyline A water main that interconnects source(s), treatment works, reservoir(s) and/or supply areas, normally without direct consumer connections. Transfer mains were historically termed trunk mains along with distribution mains.
Water Channel W_TAS_CHANNEL Polyline Channels are open furrows that form part of the water supply network and can include aqueducts (elevated channels), races, tunnels and natural waterways that form part of the water supply network (such as creeks).
Water Control Valve W_TAS_CONTROLVALVE Point Water valves control the flow of water or modulate the build-up of air within a pipeline.
Water Customer Connection Point W_TAS_CUSTCON Point A water customer connection point represents the location of the stop tap and water meter (meter assembly) that separates the property service pipe and the customer internal pipework.
Water Dam W_TAS_DAM Point The resulting water body that is created following the construction of a dam embankment
Water Distribution Main W_TAS_DISTRIBUTIONMAIN Polyline A water main serving as the principal distributor within the supply area, normally without direct consumer connections. Distribution mains were historically termed trunk mains along with transfer mains.
Water Filling Point W_TAS_FILLINGPOINT Point A filling point is essentially a valve that allows for the collection of water, for example, by water cartage trucks.
Water Fitting W_TAS_FITTING Point A component of a pipeline other than a pipe which allows pipeline deviation change of direction or bore. In addition expansion joints flanged-socketed pieces flanged-spigot pieces collars and couplings are also defined as fittings.
Water Hydrant W_TAS_HYDRANT Point Water fire hydrants are a special type of in ground connection on distribution and reticulation mains that provide access to water supply for the purpose of fighting fires and/or have an operational function such as flushing or air regulation.
Water Intake W_TAS_INTAKE Point A water intake is the location that the natural water enters the water system.
Water Irrigation Line W_TAS_IRRIGATIONLINE Polyline Irrigation lines are water mains which are used exclusively to supply water to irrigation schemes.
Water Isolation Valve W_TAS_ISOLATIONVALVE Point Isolation valves are designed to start and stop the flow of water within the network to isolate portions of the network for maintenance, repair or operational purposes.
Water Lateral Line W_TAS_LATERAL Polyline A property service extends from the water reticulation main to the service connection point. The property service is to be represented by a polyline indicating the centreline of the pipe section.
Water Network Meter W_TAS_NETWORKMETER Point Network meters are used in field operations to measure sewage flows at a particular location. They can be used to measure system flows particularly to identify localised issues of infiltration or inflow.
Non-Return Valve W_TAS_NONRETURNVALVE Point A non-return valve permits the flow of water in only one direction.
Water Pit W_TAS_PIT Point Pits are used to house infrastructure (valves etc.) that are required to be accessed for operations or maintenance. They can be either under or above ground.
Water Pumping Station W_TAS_PUMPSTATION Point The feature classes for pumping stations storages and treatment plants are represented as point features for hydraulic modelling purposes. The point is located at the centroid of the feature.
Raw Water Main W_TAS_RAWWATERMAIN Polyline Raw water mains are pipes that transport untreated water, typically from the water source/catchment to the treatment site.
Water Reservoir W_TAS_RESERVOIR Point Water reservoirs are large bodies of water either a natural lake or artificially created using a dam wall to impound the water. For water reservoirs the centre of the storage is recorded spatially as a point.
Water Reticulation Main W_TAS_RETICULATIONMAIN Polyline A water main that connects a distribution main with service pipes. Reticulation mains are generally sized DN100 to DN375.
Water Reticulation Sub-Main W_TAS_RETICULATIONSUBMAIN Polyline A water main that connects a reticulation main with service pipes within discrete areas where the number of consumers is small, thereby minimising deterioration of water quality. Reticulation sub-mains are generally sized DN40 to DN100.
Water Sampling Point W_TAS_SAMPLINGPOINT Point Water sampling points are physical locations where water quality sampling occurs.
Water Scour Pipe W_TAS_SCOURPIPE Polyline An assembly of valves and fittings installed at low points in the network and used for dewatering a portion of pipeline for operational or maintenance purposes.
Water Storage Tank W_TAS_TANK Point Water tanks also referred to as service reservoirs are typically cylindrical water storage structures that supply water to the water supply zone. For tanks and similar storages the centre of the storage is recorded spatially as a point.
Water Treatment Plant W_TAS_TREATMENTPLANT Point The feature classes for pumping stations storages and treatment plants are represented as point features for hydraulic modelling purposes. The point is located at the centroid of the feature.
Water Zone Valve W_TAS_ZONEVALVE Point Zone valves are a type of isolation valve and are used to prevent the flow of water from one supply zone to another. These valves are normally closed. Zone valves have been separated from other isolation valves due to connectivity rules

Sewer Control Valve S_TAS_CONTROLVALVE Point Sewer air release valves are installed along pressurised sewer mains and allow for the automatic escape of trapped pockets of air and gases. Air release valves prevent the formation of potentially destructive vacuums within the pipe.
Sewer Customer Connection Point S_TAS_CUSTCON Point A sewer customer connection point is the point of connection between the property connection sewer and the customer sanitary drain11. It includes the pipework, inspection opening (IO), and any other fittings on the pipe.
