Customer Support Program

About us

TasWater recognises that our residential customers may from time to time experience financial strain which may make it difficult to manage their account and household expenses.

The sooner you contact us, the sooner we can help you get back to account independence through our Customer Support Program.

What does this mean?

We will treat you with trust, respect, and sensitivity. You will get a dedicated case manager to understand your individual circumstances and tailor a payment plan to meet your needs. Your case manager can also provide you with referrals if you need other support outside of TasWater.

While you are a part of the Customer Support Program we can protect you from overdue fees, interest and supply restriction. This takes away the worry of debt collection or other legal action while you get back on track.

You will receive a flexible payment plan up to 36 months which takes into account your ongoing water usage and charges, as well as any existing debt. You will be able to pay on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis depending which is easiest for you.

Once accepted into the Customer Support Program you will have access to the program until

  • You have reached your account independence
  • You request to be removed from the program.

If you are unable to meet the agreed arrangement it is important you contact us as soon as possible. Where non-payment occurs and we have not heard from you, we will attempt to contact you. If we are unable to make contact, the support of the program may end.
