Bushy Park Water Treatment Plant Waste Stream and Gretna Reticulation Decommissioning (T18/19-086)

TasWater has constructed a new 0.4 ML/d capacity Water Treatment Plant (WTP) on Uxbridge Road near Bushy Park.

Phase 1 of the project was designed to provide water to and from the new WTP. This work has been completed.

Phase 2 of the project included upgrading the Gretna reticulation system which was in poor condition. This work has also been successfully delivered.

The remaining activities for the Bushy Park waste stream include:

  • Confirm a discharge site for Bushy Park WTP waste stream pipeline
  • Survey a suitable route
  • Design, supply and installation of a waste stream pipeline
  • Install, commission and handover.

The remaining activities for the Gretna Reticulation De-commissioning include:

  • removal of DN AC 100 Asbestos pipe
  • Decommissioning and remediation of the old Gretna pump station.
