Bushfire awareness

Bushfires and your water supply

Tasmania faces a significant bushfire risk each summer. Dry lightning, dense vegetation and strong winds can quickly escalate fire conditions, threatening homes, communities and essential infrastructure. During bushfires or severe weather, your water supply may be disrupted . Please plan ahead and keep an emergency supply of drinking water available.
