TasWater's residential and business COVID-19 support

TasWater will freeze price increases for all customers, as well as provide additional financial support to small and medium-sized businesses to help customers during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.

What is the financial assistance being offered?

100% discount on bills for Q4 for eligible* business customers

TasWater is giving a 100 per cent rebate for small businesses issued from 1 April to 30 June 2020. This will apply to TasWater customers that receive electricity tariff 22, 94, 82 or 75.

Prices will not increase for residential and business customers from 1 July 2020.


TasWater will freeze prices for all customers from 1 July 2020 which means the prices will not go up (as scheduled).

TasWater is doing this with the support of the State Government and our owner Councils to help ease the economic impact and to help provide you with a more stable financial footing when normal life/conditions return.
