Boil Water Alert LIFTED for Bracknell

TasWater has advised that the Boil Water Alert advisory to consumers in Bracknell has been lifted.

“The decision on 15 January 2026 to advise customer to boil their water was a precaution in response to advice from the Department of Health (DoH),” TasWater’s Acting General Manager Customer and Community, Kate Crawford said.

“We have worked closely with the DoH to thoroughly clean and test Bracknell’s water system to ensure it is safe for the boil water advice to be lifted.

“TasWater will continue rigorously testing drinking water supplies in the area as part of ongoing quality management.

“Separate to the recent Boil Water Alert, our treatment for taste and odours has been temporarily offline. Residents therefore may notice their water has a musty or earthy tone in the coming days.

“This has no impact on the safety of the water and residents can be confident that the water remains safe to drink.

“I would like to thank affected customers for their patience while we worked to resume supply of drinking water,” Ms Crawford said.
