Have Your Say on TasWater’s Proposed Changes

We’ve responded to the draft price and service plan guideline that was released by the Regulator, and now the Regulator has released an issues paper to gather input from interested parties and stakeholders on our proposed changes to the regulatory framework.

Our proposed changes include:

  • Extending the regulatory period from four to five years
  • Introducing an annual price reset and indexation of water and sewerage prices
  • Annual recalculation of the cost of debt
  • Regulating pricing for category 3 and 4 trade waste customers
  • Considering whole-of-system water and wastewater outcomes

We have proposed these changes because we believe that they will result in fairer price outcomes. You can read TasWater's submission at the link below.

We welcome your feedback. Submissions and enquiries can be made directly to the Regulator and are due by 5 pm on Friday, 7 June 2024.
