We do not determine water and sewerage prices ourselves. The Price and Services plan is a transparent process where Tasmania's independent economic regulator makes sure our prices provide the best possible value for customers.

Price and Service Plan 4 (PSP4) covers all our planning and prices from 1 July 2021 – 30 June 2025, and will be submitted to the Tasmanian Economic Regulator by 30 June 2020.

As Tasmania's only water and sewerage provider, we know our services have to be kept affordable. Our revenue comes from our customers, so we need to know what customers want done with that revenue. So your feedback plays a crucial role in creating PSP4.

PSP4 is being developed from July 2019 until June 2020 and during this time we'll be posting new information and ideas for your comments. To get in touch just email psp@taswater.com.au.

A new fact sheet has been shared on TasWater's approach to keeping customer bills affordable, fair and value for money.

As our work on the Price and Service Plan continues, we are working within a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Government that caps any price rises from 2020-25 to a maximum of 3.5 per cent per year (including CPI). But there’s no guarantee that will actually be the final price increase. The Tasmanian Economic Regulator is independent of government and TasWater must make a pricing proposal that is thoroughly justified with evidence.
