With a new online video series, TasWater is inviting the community to go behind the scenes to learn how we capture, store, and treat 179 million litres of drinking water every day.
Titled A Deeper Dive, the series looks at the environment, science, and engineering aspects of TasWater’s responsibilities, introducing viewers to a range of key disciplines, specialists, and innovations.
From a simple demonstration on how TasWater treats the water delivered to customers, to the technology used to find leaks, the videos provide an inside look at TasWater’s operation. Viewers even get to meet the people whose job it is to make sure the water is not just safe to drink but also tastes nice.
The series of short videos will be released on social media every three weeks throughout the course of the year, with longer-form videos published on YouTube and the TasWater website.
