Understanding our Project life cycle

The TasWater CDO is improving the planning and execution of our projects. Significant effort is now reflected in the early stages of the planning lifecycle i.e. Planning and Investigation and Project Development phases, before the project moves to the Project Delivery or construction phase. This means:

  • Given greater rigour now applied at the project scoping stage, companies choosing to tender
can be more confident that their resource projections will better reflect actual project
    delivery requirements.
  • In some instances, the TasWater we have sought non – binding cost information from the local market to assist with budget estimates.
  • We are informing contractors of project requirements in the early stages to assist with their forward planning.
  • The issued contracts will be better informed with clearer project scope.
