Scholarship Programs

Investing in Future Innovators

At TasWater, we believe in nurturing the next generation of innovators who will lead the way in ensuring the sustainable management of water resources. To turn this belief into action, we proudly introduce the TasWater Women in STEM Scholarship, and TasWater Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Scholarship which are now available alongside the Steve Balcombe Scholarship Program.

Future Water Champions

The Scholarships are a remarkable opportunity for Tasmanian students embarking on full-time study in fields closely aligned with TasWater's core activities. These fields include engineering, environmental science, and earth science. We understand the importance of these disciplines in safeguarding our precious water resources, protecting the environment, and enhancing the essential services we all rely on daily.

Meet Our 2023 Scholarship Recipient: Charlie Kingston

We are thrilled to introduce Charlie Kingston, the recipient of the 2023 Steve Balcombe Scholarship. Charlie hails from Launceston and graduated from Scotch College in 2022. Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours at the University of Tasmania. Charlie's journey embodies the spirit of the Steve Balcombe Scholarship Program. He represents the bright minds we aim to support and empower as they embark on their educational and professional journey in fields critical to TasWater's mission.
