Dial Park Drive Odour Control Unit

What's this project all about?

TasWater is committed to supporting future development in and around regional towns in Tasmania assisting with the growth of our State with much needed infrastructure renewals. As such, we have recently finished the upgrading of the odour control unit at Dial Park, Penguin.

The importance of this project was largely driven by community expectations, showing real Community Action at work. TasWater made a commitment to the residents in the area to find a solution and fix the odour issue. This upgrade was implemented as immediate fix to the odour problem causing disruptions to the everyday life of residents.

Netco were engaged to design and build the new Odour Control Unit who had a commitment to have this project completed before Summer 2023, when odours are most noticeable.

We understand that Central Coast Council and the State Government are exploring a potential upgrade of the Dial Park sports grounds and are in the process of engaging a consultant for preliminary designs.

Works on upgrading the Odour Control Unit were completed on the 9th November 2023.
